Miles M Reid is a passionate early years educator and curriculum specialist. Earning a PGCert in Early Years Education, his ability to champion the development of 0-5-year-olds using contemporary research positions him in the foreground of the education landscape.

“I began my career, supporting SEN teenagers develop their communication and social skills via extracurricular activities. I later transitioned to supporting an early years setting where my love for early years practice was blossomed. While studying Digital Music and Sound Art at the University of Brighton, I continued to take an interest in the early years sector. As part of my academic research, I wrote an essay on the sonics of child phonetics and early vocal development in fantasy media. In practice, I continued to develop my early years network, eventually becoming a deputy disability coordinator at a local nursery, putting in place frameworks to support their development. Whilst training as an early years teacher, I was able to implement messy play, food education and STEAM learning in the curriculum while gauging child retention in real-time. Furthermore, I completed a period of academic research into international early years practice to support a wider range of children.”

"Miles is particularly interested in projects that highlight STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics) learning, POC/LGBTQ+ education and religious/spiritual education"
